Let the river’s song relax all your cares away. Our beautiful little haven is located right on the banks of the Sol Duc River downstream from Sol Duc Falls, just a few miles west of Lake Crescent. Sit on the deck and watch the eagles glide along the river hunting for fish. Watch for elk, deer, otters, beaver, and innumerable kinds of birds. We are right in the middle of world-famous Olympic National Park (Map) with convenient access to the ocean beaches, Strait of Juan de Fuca and Cape Flattery, hundreds of miles of hiking trails crisscrossing the Olympic Mountains and following the coastline, and the Hoh Rainforest with its giant ancient moss-covered trees. Port Angeles, the gateway to Hurricane Ridge and the departure point for ferries to Victoria, British Columbia is just 38 miles away. It’s a great base camp for seeing this spectacular corner of the world and an even better place to relax. Soak in the hot tub, play with your kids and dogs on the huge grassy lawn sloping down to the river, build a fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows under the brilliant stars. Twilight fans alert: we are just 18 miles from the City of Forks and the Sol Duc is the same river Edward lives on!!
